THE PATRICK MATTHEW TRAIL

The Patrick Matthew Trail, is at the heart of the Patrick Matthew Memorial Weekend, 29th September to 1st October 2017.  Hosted by the Carse of Gowrie Sustainability group and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The trail map has been created in conjunction with children from the six Carse primary schools, local landowners, descendants and the people of the Carse.

Blaze the Trail to enjoy following Patrick Matthew's historic footprint across the Carse, exploring the story of a man of his time and ahead of his time. Do this by visiting each Map Location & Scan the QR Codes to find out all the details of interest which piece together the story of his life.

PLEASE NOTE THE MEGGINCH CASTLE QR POST WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL 2018! PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS THE CASTLE UNTIL ROAD UPGRADES ARE COMPLETED.
